Love...

February brings one of the most popular holidays, Valentine's Day.  To a single woman, especially a newly single woman, this can be frightening.  Don't let it be scary!

I've already made plans for Valentine's Day and am hoping to do something with friends the week of.

I LOVE LOVE.  Get it?  I love having somebody to snuggle and coo over and love.  And I do.  Right now (and forever) that person is ME.  I have to get back to doing what makes me smile in my heart.  All the things I love about being in love I can share and experience with myself.  And when that brother comes along, I can share with him.

I love Black love.

I do love love, though. Black love, especially, is amazing!  There's just something that moves the spirit seeing two Black people in love and growing.  While I can't wait to experience that special love again, in fact, I'm looking forward to it, I know somebody more important needs special attention.

So whether you have somebody special or not, I want you to first know that YOU are that somebody special.  Then I want you to do something special for yourself this Valentine's Day.  Plan something awesome for your loved one(s) and take care of numero uno.  This is just a personal thought that had to come out.
